Tulsi *NEW*
Ocimum tenuiflorum - approx. 200 seeds.
Also known as Holy Basil, Tulsi is a small, upright, bushy plant with highly aromatic leaves, followed by delicate spires of pale pink flowers. An excellent companion plant for tomatoes.
Native to India and South-East Asia, Tulsi has a long history of use in traditional herbal practices and culinary uses. Tea made from the leaves is said to have many health benefits, it is also delicious.
Growing Info.
Tulsi is not frost-hardy but will grow happily outside in a sheltered spot in summer. However, plants will be particularly happy if grown under cover or on a warm windowsill.
- Sow under cover: April to early June
- Harvest from July to October
