Also known as Blawort in Scots. Cornflower is an easy-to-grow annual flower that produces a mass of bright blue flowers. Great as a cut flower or grown amongst a veg plot to attract pollinators. 

Cornflower petals are edible and can be used to brighten up a salad or even for cake decorations.

Growing Info

Sowing: Sow in early spring for summer flowers. Direct sow in rows ~ 20cm apart, thin to 20/25cm between plants. Alternatively sow in the late summer/Early Autumn.
