Kale - Pentland Brig *NEW*
GROWN IN SCOTLAND by Seeds of Scotland
Brassica oleracea ~ approx. 100 seeds
Bred in the 1960s at the Scottish Plant Breeding Station (now the James Hutton Institute) by Ian McNaughton, Pentland Brig is the result of a cross between Thousand-Head kale and Curly kale.
Very hardy and prolific, it produces abundant light green, curly leaves with a naturally sweet flavour. Plants grow to around 90 cm tall and develop tasty side shoots in spring, that can be enjoyed like sprouting broccoli.
