Claytonia - Winter Purslane *NEW*

Valerianella locusta - approximately 300 seeds.

 

Also known as lambs lettuce, a versatile salad crop that can be grown year round. Although its frost hardy we would recommend growing it under cover in the winter. 

Mild, almost sweet flavour, a delicious contrast to the winter mustard leaves. 


 

 

 

 

 

Growing Info:

Sow mid to late September. Sow direct in drills or in pots to transplant out. Spacing 10cm between plants, 20cm between rows. Harvest January - April. 

Tip: If you're growing cornsald under cover in winter it requires good ventilation to prevent mildew.
