Location: Evanton, Highlands, Scotland
Hours: 24 hours per week
Duration: Early April – November 2026
Pay: £13.45/hour, Real Living Wage
Eligibility: Applicants must be under 30 years old
We’re looking to employ a young person to join our small team at our farm just outside of Evanton, Easter-Ross. The employment would take the form of a part-time internship with a focus on organic seed production. More information about Seeds of Scotland is available on our website: www.seedsofscotland.com.
You will work alongside us to follow the Agroecological Traineeship Curriculum developed by the Landworkers’ Alliance, Organic Growers Alliance, and Soil Association. During the season you will learn about all aspects of organic seed production. You’ll gain practical skills in areas such as;
- Soil health and organic farming
- Building fertility and crop rotation,
- Propagation,
- Protected cropping,
- Crop handling and storage,
- Tools, machinery and irrigation,
- Weed, pest and disease control,
- Plant biology
- Seed crop production
- Seed harvesting and processing
- Germination testing and quality control
- Seed packing and order fulfilment
- Running a small farm business and marketing
Who We’re Looking For

A motivated, young person under 30 years old (at the start of the internship) with an interest in organic vegetable and seed production (essential)

1 years experience of commercial vegetable production (desirable, but not essential).

Valid driving license (desirable, but not essential).

Willingness to work outdoors in all weathers
