Organic Chilli - Hungarian Hot Wax *NEW*

£3.00

Capsicum annum ~ approx. 12 seeds

We really love Hungarian Hot Wax Chillies and have found them to be one of the most reliable varieties for the Scottish climate.

The compact and prolific plants produce fruit that ripen early from green to yellow, orange and eventually to red. We recommend to pick the chillies any time after they turn yellow, the longer you wait, the deeper the colour, the spicier they will be.

The ripe fruits are not blow your head off spicy but have a good heat to them and are therefore very versatile in the kitchen, great for pickling, stuffing or for adding a little spice to a dish.

These seeds have been grown in the Highlands by our friends at

 The Natural Vegetable Company.

Growing Info

Sow indoors in flats with good potting soil as early as February, but no later than April. Keep warm and well-watered.  Pot on seedlings into 4” pots when they have their first two true leaves. Transplant out into the garden after the danger of frost has passed, typically early May in Highlands, Scotland.  Best grown undercover in our climate. Happy in large pots and can do well on a sunny windowsill.
