Phacelia tanacetifolia
Phacelia is a beautiful purple-flowered annual plant popular with beneficial insects, particularly honeybees and short-tongued bumblebees.
Flowering within 8/10 weeks, phacelia may continue to flower for up to 6 weeks. Good at competing with weeds and very useful as a green manure/cover crop.
If growing as a green manure, consider incorporating it into the soil after 10/12 weeks. Alternatively, allow plants to continue to flower and enjoy the sound of the bees.
Phacelia will self-seed if left to full maturity.

Sowing: Sow direct from April to August.
Spacing: Approximate coverage for hand sowing: 1g per m2.
Flowering: ~8-10 weeks from sowing.
Germination: 92% Apr 24
