Spring Onion - Ishikura *NEW*
Allium fistulosum ~ approx. 300 seeds.
A tasty Japanese bunching onion with long white stems, perfect for adding to salads, soups, and stir-fries. Sometimes known as Welsh onion or bunching onion, they can be grown as a perennial and are easy to harvest continually throughout the growing season.
Growing Tips
Can be sown direct from April to July or multi-sown in modules, aim for around 6 seeds per cell. Transplant ~10cm apart and harvest around 6 to 8 weeks later.
TIP: Transplanting can be used to stagger harvest. Plants from one sowing can be transplanted over several weeks to give a succession.
