Also known as miner’s lettuce, this hardy plant can be grown throughout the year. The leaves, stems, and flowers are all edible when young, with a mild flavour and succulent texture that make a perfect addition to winter and spring salads.

 

Growing Info:

Sowing: Mar-Sep. Sow direct in drills or in pots to transplant out. 

Spacing: 25-30cm 

Tips: Seeds require cooler soil temperatures to germinate (10 to 12°C). 

Germination: 98% Aug 2025
