Salad Turnip - Atlantic *NEW 2024/25*
Brassica rapa var. rapa - approximately 300 seeds.
Early maturing salad turnip with white flat globe-shaped roots kissed by pink blushed shoulders. Roots have a sweet and creamy flavour and crisp texture. Added bonus of lots of tasty tops! Great in salads and easy to grow.
Growing Info
Salad Turnips are a versatile fast growing crop which is well suited to direct sowing. Direct sow undercover or into modules from March. Direct sow outside from April and successionally throughout the year until August. Alternatively, sow into modules and transplant at 15cm spacing.
Harvest within 6/8 weeks.
Turnips will benefit from a mesh covering to protect against root fly.
TIP: Try sowing small amounts every 3/4 weeks for a successional harvest throughout the year.
